WEEDS

In the road
I left my shadow
In the desert sun

Sure enough
The weeds tumbled over
Like a voice saying "you are alone"

Been a year
Since weary tires
I thought the voice was long, long gone

Don't you love me anymore?

In a time
I often traveled
Down to you, down to you

In a sheet
Wrapped in feeling
I slept so soft
With your breath on my back

Don't you love me anymore?

Down the dark road
I stoked a fire
And now it's gone
